🌴 3D2N Bintan Island Itinerary from Singapore: Family-Friendly Guide with Kids
Hi, I’m Ice, the storyteller behind Mama Ice & Max Travels. I’m a mom who loves exploring the world with my husband Sky and our little boy Max. Traveling with kids isn’t always easy, but I believe the best memories come from these adventures — whether it’s watching Max splash in the pool or discovering new places together.
If you enjoy family travel stories, tips, and inspiration, I’d love to connect with you! 🌍✨
Just a short ferry ride away, Bintan Island in Indonesia is one of the easiest and most relaxing escapes from Singapore. For our little family trip, we decided on a 3 days 2 nights getaway — and it turned out to be just the right mix of beach time, exploration, and unexpected adventures.
🚤 Day 1: Ferry Ride & Relaxing at Four Points by Sheraton
| Four Points by Sheraton Bintan |
We took the ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and in just about an hour, we arrived in Bintan. (Don’t forget — there’s a 1-hour time difference between Singapore and Bintan, so technically, we gained an extra hour of vacation!)
Our home for the trip was Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, a beautiful resort right beside the beach. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed by sea breeze, spacious rooms, and the sound of waves.
The highlight of the day? The hotel’s swimming pool! It was so inviting that we spent the whole afternoon there. My boy Max was extra excited — he asked me to take a video of him swimming underwater. For him, that was the best part of the holiday. For me, it was seeing his joy.
And for parents who sometimes crave a little “me-time,” this resort also has a kids’ room with babysitter service. That means children can play safely, while mom and dad enjoy a quiet moment by the pool or even a beachside cocktail. Honestly, this made our stay feel like a true vacation.

💙 Day 2: The Magical Blue Lake & A Rainy Surprise
The next morning, we visited Blue Lake (Danau Biru) — one of the most magical places I’ve ever seen. The turquoise water looked like a dream, and Max couldn’t stop running around, pointing at how “blue” everything looked. It’s the kind of spot that makes you pause and breathe in the beauty of nature.
In the afternoon, we planned to visit Safari Lagoi to see animals. But as life (and travel) would have it, heavy rain arrived and our plan had to be canceled. Instead of being disappointed, we took it as a chance to slow down again — heading back to the hotel for family playtime indoors and some much-needed relaxation. Sometimes, unplanned moments become the most precious memories.
⛵ Day 3: A Short Goodbye
Our last morning came too quickly. After one last dip in the pool and a beach walk, we packed up and headed for the ferry back to Singapore. Just like that, our Bintan family getaway ended — short, but filled with little joys that will stay with us.
